dubai launches national month

Dubai has officially kicked off a month-long programme of celebrations honouring the UAE’s national identity, heritage and achievements.

The initiative, organised by Brand Dubai — the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office — begins on November 3 and will run until December 2, 2026, bringing together government, semi-government and private-sector organisations across the emirate.

The programme will build towards the UAE’s 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations, offering residents and visitors opportunities to take part in activities recognising the country’s history, unity and development.

What will happen during Dubai’s National Month?

Brand Dubai has outlined several initiatives that will form part of the celebrations.

These include:

  • UAE Flag Day: Flag-raising activities marking the national occasion on November 3.

  • Eid Al Etihad celebrations: Activities marking the UAE’s 55th Union Day on December 2.

  • Flag Garden: A public-facing initiative celebrating the UAE flag.

  • UAE Parade: A planned parade as part of the national celebrations.

  • Stories of Our Determination: A short-film competition launched by the Dubai Films and Games Commission, encouraging creative talent to share stories of unity and determination.

Additional activities will be organised with participating government and private-sector entities throughout the month.

What does this mean for Dubai residents?

The programme is intended to bring national celebrations into communities across Dubai rather than limiting activities to individual official ceremonies.

Residents, families and visitors can expect opportunities to participate in cultural, creative and community-focused events as further details are announced.

However, specific event locations, schedules and participation arrangements have not all been published yet. Residents should check official announcements before making plans to attend individual activities.

UAE Flag Day marks the start of the celebrations

November 3 also marks UAE Flag Day, an annual occasion when government departments, schools, businesses and communities across the country raise the national flag.

The occasion provides the starting point for Dubai’s wider National Month programme, which will continue through to Eid Al Etihad on December 2.

Where can residents find event updates?

Brand Dubai and the Government of Dubai Media Office are expected to share further information about activities, dates and locations as the programme progresses.

Residents can follow official announcements through the Government of Dubai Media Office and Brand Dubai channels to find out which events are taking place and how to participate.

With celebrations running across the emirate for an entire month, Dubai’s National Month programme will bring together cultural activities, community initiatives and events leading up to the UAE’s 55th Eid Al Etihad.
